Measurable - How will you measure and record your goal?
Attainable - What steps will you take to attain the goal?
Realistic - Is the goal relevant and realistic for your available time and skill set?
Time - What is your deadline and how will you record the progress you make?
Mrs. Ling's SMART goal example: (Interest based goal) I will learn all strings, 5 chords, and 3 songs on the Ukulele by winter break and play the songs for my homeroom. I will compare my interest and skills on the Ukulele with my guitar and piano skills.

Above and Beyond
--A creative home page that reflects you and your interests
- --Uploaded documents and/or photos with evidence of learning
- --Videos or other products that show your growth as a learner
- --A variety of goals with more than the required two
- --An deep reflection communicating growth, challenges, obstacles and next steps
Remember: You goals can be changed and added to as you discover new learning and growth. You can also write a reflection that says you did not meet a goal or it changed or ............. you just forgot about the goal. That's ok, but be sure and write another goal and reflect on those serendipitous experiences and your new goal and growth as a learner. You may also add goals and items during the school year and summer. It's important to have a plan, but sometimes plans change and the new plan can be better than the original. E-mail Mrs. Ling with any questions!
